IIUM Undergraduate Ummatic Scholarship is a Scholarship awarded to poor, needy, deserving and academically outstanding in recognition of their achievement, and study at IIUM.

A student who fulfils the following criteria can apply:
• Registered as a full-time Undergraduate student
• Do not receive any other scholarship
• Poor (Needy) students as identified by the University authority
• SECOND-YEAR student and above (at Kulliyyah level)
• Student with excellent academic standing with a CGPA of 3.60 and above (minimum of 15 credit hours).
• Students from Muslim Minority countries with a CGPA of 3.00 (minimum of 15 credit hours) may apply for the scholarship.

• Not eligible to:
i. Student under critical programmes offered by the University i.e. related to executive programme and other programmes as determined by the University.
ii. Student who is still under the pre-sessional and bridging programme.

Normally the application for Ummatic Scholarship will be opened beginning of every regular semester.

• Monthly allowance (RM400.00 per month)

IIUM Tuition Fee Reduction is a financial assistance given to poor, needy and deserving International Undergraduate students to reduce their tuition fees charged by the University.

Students who fulfil all the following criteria can apply:
• International student.
• Registered as a full-time Undergraduate student.
• Second-year student at Kulliyyah level and above.
• Do not receive any other scholarship.
• Student with a CGPA of 3.0 and above (with at least 15.0 credit hours) based on the University’s general academic workload policy.
• Poor student (needy) as identified by the University authority.
• Show commitment to paying the balance of the outstanding debt.

The University currently could not provide the Tuition Fee Reduction for the following:
• Students under critical programmes offered by the University i.e. related medical programmes, executive programmes and other programmes as determined by the University.
• student who is still under the pre-sessional and bridging programme.

ELIGIBILITY AND CRITERIA
The Malaysian Tuition Fee Rate is financial assistance currently given to Palestinian students who are staying in Gaza or any conflict area in Palestine. This rate is given for ONLY ONE LEVEL (either Degree/Master or PhD) OF STUDY AT IIUM.

• Registered as a full-time Undergraduate and Postgraduate student from Palestine
• First-semester student at Kulliyyah level and above
• Do not receive any other scholarship
• Needy student.

The University currently could not provide the Malaysian Tuition Fee Rate for the following:
• Students under critical programmes offered by the University i.e executive programme and other programmes as determined by the University.
• Student who is still under pre-sessional and bridging programme
• Student who has already enjoyed receiving Malaysian tuition fee rate during their Undergraduate/postgraduate programme. This facility is only given ONCE to Palestinian student studying at IIUM.

This is to inform you that, in compliance with the Sales Tax Act 2018 and the Service Tax Act 2018 enforced
by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, and as directed by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE),
the University is required to implement Sales & Service Tax (SST) on fees payable by international students,
wherever it is applicable.
With effect from 1 September 2025, all invoices issued to international students will include the applicable SST
charges on tuition fees and other service-related charges, wherever prescribed under the relevant tax regulations.
The applicable tax is determined by the date of invoice issuance, rather than the date of registration.
