SPECIAL RATE ADJUSTMENT FOR STUDENTS TEMPORARILY PLACED IN NON-STANDARD / EXECUTIVE ACCOMMODATION

Assalamu’alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Dear Students,

Please be informed that IIUM Management has approved a special rate adjustment for students who are temporarily placed in higher-rate accommodation, including Executive Rooms, Single Rooms, Twin Premium Rooms, and higher-tier Twin Sharing Rooms.

Although the current billing statements may reflect charges based on the registered room type, affected students will only be charged the standard Undergraduate (UG) Mahallah rate applicable per semester, regardless of the higher room type in which they are temporarily placed.

Key Information

1. Standard UG Rate Per Semester
Affected students will be charged according to the standard Undergraduate (UG) Mahallah rate per semester. The higher accommodation rate associated with the temporary room type will not be imposed during this period.

2. Update of Student Financial Statements
The Finance Division and Residential Services Department (RSD) are currently making the necessary adjustments to the affected students’ accounts.

The revised charges will be reflected in the student portal once the adjustment process is completed.

Students are advised to check their student financial statements periodically for the updated charges.
