Single-Occupant Carrel Rooms

• Single-occupant carrel rooms are available on all levels of the library and are exclusively reserved for postgraduate students on a first-come, first-served basis. There are two types of carrel rooms offered: Daily Rooms and Bi-Weekly Rooms. Please note that these loans are non-renewable. If extended use is required, users must borrow a different room, subject to availability.

   

• To ensure fair and equitable access, a late return fine of RM5.00 per day will be imposed for overdue key returns.

   

• The library also provides carrel rooms specially designated for users with disabilities or special needs. To access these rooms, please approach the Circulation Counter to request the key.

Research Room

• These rooms are available for academic staff only. Booking is limited to the research period and can be extended if it is not reserved by others.

Discussion Room

• Group Study Rooms are intended for group use only and may be used by a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of six (6) or eight (8) users, depending on the room size.

   

• Advance booking is required, as the number of rooms is limited. Each booking allows for a maximum usage period of three (2) hours, which may be extended only if the room has not been reserved by others.

   

• To ensure fair and equitable access, a late return fine of RM2.00 per hour will be imposed for overdue key returns.
