CITIZEN SCIENCE

Citizen Science is a collaborative approach that brings together scientists and members of the public who are curious, concerned, or motivated to contribute to positive change. Through Citizen Science, people can participate in research by collecting data through activities such as photographing clouds or streams, documenting changes in nature, using smartphone sensors to monitor water and air quality, or playing games designed to support health and medical research. A project may involve a single individual or millions of participants working towards a shared goal. Depending on the project, members of the public may contribute to different stages of research, including data collection, analysis and reporting.
